Where The Heck is Napanee???

So here I am in Napanee.
What's to say about it? It's small. It's probably the smallest place I've ever been. That's basically all I can think of to sum it up. There's not much to see or do here, but somehow we managed to survive the week.
Tuesday was the day I got transferred. We were suppose to arrive in Napanee by 6, but we didn't even make it there. Instead we arrived in Trenton at 9ish, and stayed the night there. Traffic was terrible that day, and we had to fit four people's luggage into a small Colorado truck. Needless to say, we were pretty cramped in there. We also used ties to tie everything down so nothing would fall out.
Wednesday, we had district meeting. Then we went out to eat and then headed to Napanee. I got to work with one of the Zone Leaders for awhile and we just went and knocked some doors. Nothing came out of it, mainly because every door in this town has been knocked on since last transfer, so we'll see how this one goes. Then later in the night, we went to the Masonic temple to help serve food to some of the Masons who were having a meeting there. Then we went and visited Kory, our current investigator here.
Thursday we did weekly planning, like usual. Then we did some finding and went to play cards with George, an older blind man. We played Euchre (You-Kerr) with him. It was pretty fun.
Friday we went and visited one of our other investigators here named Marie. We taught her the plan of Salvation and tried to help her understand her purpose here in life.
Saturday we visited Lorri Johnstone, a convert, to teach her temple prep. She is planning on going to the temple this transfer, so we are helping her prepare for that. Then we played Wizard with her and went on our merry way. Oh, we also got to help serve breakfast at the high school for some Evangeligist thing that the community was putting on. Some dude named Josh McDowell came to speak.
Sunday I got to meet the branch. There is very few of them, and barely any youth or kids. We also visited Kory and George again this day.
Elder Cameron is a cool guy. We play cards a lot in our breaks, or go to the church and play ping-pong. He's from High River, Alberta. Two Westerners in a Eastern place. We will slowly make them assimilate to our ways.
Well, that's my week. Hope everyone's is going well! Have a great one!

I Think I'm in a Deep Blue Funk (As My Dad Would Say)

Life has a funny way of screwing with you, doesn't it?

Take my past week for example. It had a few good highs, and quite a few lows, but all in all, it was a pretty pleasant week. Monday we played the Turkey Bowl for Thanksgiving, and I got laid out quite a few times while no one else did. I was pretty dirty afterward. I was sore all week because of it. Then we did a lot of service for this older Polish lady who couldn't be pleased a lot of the time.

Tuesday was our P-Day, but most of it was spent looking for a new suit for one of the missionaries. Then turns out he forgot his wallet, so I paid for him since his apartment was across town. So P-Day was quite a bore, and I got pretty sick later that night.

Wednesday, one of our appointments we were looking forward to bombed us, again, so we got to go back out into the rain for the night.

Thursday was okay. We went to Etobicoke for an appointment I had, but Elder Bindrup couldn't meet us because of Zone Conference or something.

Friday, I honestly can't really remember.

Saturday is pretty blank too.

Sunday, I didn't get into trouble at church, so the day went really well until transfer calls. I'm going to Napanee, which is close to Kingston. Honestly, none of us in our district were expecting it, and I'm the only one going, even though everyone has been in Cambridge longer than me.

Anyways, as you can see, not the best of weeks, but there were some good points. Have a good one.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

Hey people, what's up?

So Thanksgiving was this week... Happy Belated Thanksgiving! I hope everyone enjoyed their day of gratitude. We had a pretty good one.

So not too much happened this week. Tuesday I got to travel with Elder Jones in his area of Cambridge. Not too much happened there, but we did get to watch a movie titled 'Mafia to Mormon". It was a very good talk by this man who use to be part of the Mafia, but then converted to Mormonism. Really enjoyable.

What else major happened this week? Elder Stacey and I got to help set up for our ward mission leader's wife's birthday. Took us awhile, but the party went really well, and the food was awesome. Especially the bacon wrapped chestnuts.

Saturday was interviews with President Scott. He's a good man. I think I'm going to enjoy working with him for the rest of my mission.

What else exciting and news worthy happened this week? Not too much... The colors are really pretty over here. A lot more vibrant then our West.

Anyways, that was my week. Have a good one!

A Good General Conference

What's up people persons?

So life in Cambridge has been cold. Cold and good though. Well, actually, not too much happened. We ran low on kilometers and walked most of the time, so we didn't get to visit some people we would have liked to have seen.

What else has turned up? General Conference was this weekend. I know, it sounds boring, but this one was actually pretty good. Jeffery R. Holland threw down quite a bit, but the whole conference was good. And I actually can say that because I stayed awake during the whole thing! Yay!

Anything else happen? Not that I can remember. Not too much is happening here in Cambridge. My ice cream I bought Monday melted because a member called us at the last minute and wanted us over right away, so we couldn't get our groceries home. That made me pretty upset, but it's all good now, so you don't have to worry.

Other than that, there's really not much to say. Peace!
