Ice Storms And My Name Should Be "Castle"

Hey people, what's up?
So transfers were this week. Elder Cameron headed to Orangeville, and I got Elder King. This is his last transfer in the mission, and then he's going home. He's not in a huge rush to get home, but I think he's looking forward to it.
This week has been a little busy, but nothing eventful happened. It got really cold, windy and snowy, but we also had freezing rain on Wednesday night. Thursday, everything was covered with ice. And because of it, most of the town lost power (or Hydro as they call it here. I know, doesn't make sense. Hydro is water, not electricity) for a good part of the day, and there were tree branches everywhere. The ice was too heavy for most of the trees, so they started breaking and such. Many trees are bent right over so the tops are touching the ground. It was crazy. And the ice coating everything (signs, cars, houses, trees, etc.) was thick. It looked really pretty, especially the trees. But it did a fair amount of damage.
So it was a bit of a nippy week (-18), so Elder King and I went to visit a lot of members. We visited almost all of the members living in Napanee, so we didn't have to go outside too much. Lucky us, huh? It was a busy week, and I guess that's all you can ask for? Better than being bored and having the week drag out. All of the members we saw were friendly enough, even the less active ones. So we'll be seeing them all again real soon.
So what else happened this week that's noteworthy? I can't think of too much besides the weather and just seeing a lot of members. Monday night was Family Home Evening at the church. After a lesson, we played clue. Guess who won? Both times? That's right, yours truly. Boo yah. Not that I'm bragging or anything. I just have supreme detective skills that others just can't match. It's no big deal.
Other than that, there's not too much to tell. Have a great week!

New Companion But Not Much Else

Hey people, what's up?
So transfer calls were last night. I am staying in Napanee, while Elder Cameron is headed to Orangeville. My new companion is Elder King. I have no clue who he is, so we'll see how it goes.
Well, what's been happening in Napanee. Not too much, like usual. I'll try my best to remember anything exciting.
Monday we hung out with the Zone and played basketball. It was fun, but other than that, nothing too much happened since most of the zone ditched out afterwards.
Tuesday... not too much happened. We visited a guy we are teaching, Murv, and one of his seven dogs gave birth to seven new dogs the day before. So now he has 14 doggies. Fun, huh? All but two of them are Jack Russells.
Wednesday we went to Etobicoke. Nothing too exciting happened there. It was a lot of driving that day.
Thursday we had district meeting. That was fun. I know, I know. Carson liking District Meeting? What has the world come to!? But it was fun, especially since half of our district is leaving. That sucks. But after district meeting, we went out to eat at East Side Mario's (like usual), and then went our seperate ways. Not too much happened the rest of the day.
Friday, not too much happened again
Saturday, nothing. We cleaned up a bit.
Sunday, Kory came to church finally. I think he enjoyed it. We also went and played Euchre with Barry and George again. George and I won four games out of four. The last two we beat them 10-zip. We sent Cameron out in style!
Anyways, that was our week. Have a great one!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Hey people, how's it going?
So, Happy New Year! Hard to believe it's 2012 already, huh? Time certainly flies, doesn't it?
Welp, the past two weeks have been the usual, but they've been good. We had a quiet Christmas and New Years here, but I guess that's to be expected for a missionary. Church was pretty empty these last two weeks, so I guess everyone was visiting family or on vacation.
What else is new? There's not too much to tell. It's Napanee after all. The main highlights of the last two weeks were Christmas, where we got to call home to our families. I think we all enjoyed that. Hopefully we all did. I know I did. It's always good to hear from your family.
What else has occurred that's newsworthy?... Not too much actually. Plus, it's really hard to think when you are tired and have other things on your mind. One of our investigators, Murv, came to church Christmas day. He really enjoyed it, and wants to come out more often. Hopefully he'll find a way.
Anyways, that's all I have. Have a great week everyone!
