A Week of Awesomeness

Hey people, what's up?
So this week, nothing has happened in Napanee. But it's been a very entertaining week to say the least (I think that's the saying. If not, oh well).
Serving with Trippy so far has been a fun experience. None stop laughs and joys. Plus, it's fun seeing and hearing all of the missionaries being surprised that the two of us are serving together. Apparently, both of us are quite known throughout the mission as being the "Free Birds." They're just jealous.
So what has happened this week... Monday was Family Day, so we went to Trenton to hang out with the missionaries there and stay the night because of transfers the next day... And I just realized I've mentioned what happened Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday was a bit of a slow day since not too many people were around. We played Ping-Pong with Barry, and Trippy destroyed him at that, so we don't have to hear how awesome Barry is anymore. Oh, and I just remembered that we had District Meeting that day. It was fun, but I don't think our new Zone Leader, Elder DAvis, appreciated Trippy and I. His loss.
Friday not too much happened here. We visited Marie in the morning, like usual. The afternoon we did some finding, visited some members and learned that they won't be coming to the Napanee branch for awhile because something went down with some other members. So they'll be going to Belleville for awhile. Then we saw George and read to him the paper.
Saturday what happened? Nothing noteworthy. Just another day in fun land. Also, we have taken to calling the apartment Asgard.
Sunday was church, and just as I predicted, there were only about 14 people, at sacrament. Then in priesthood, it was only the 1st counsler in the Branch Presidency, Trippy and myself. Fun, huh?
So that was our awesome 1st week for our transfer of awesomeness. Also, Tripp and I have declared ourselves the official Zone Leaders of Napanee. Boo-yah.
Peace!

The Dynamic Duo

Hey people, how's it going?
So life is still going in Napanee, and will be for at least another six weeks, but the good news is that I have an awesome new companion! Guess who it is? It's... Elder... Tripp!!!!!! That's right! Trippy and I are companions! Wooooo!!!!!! I know. Try to contain your jealousy.
So what's happened this past week besides transfers? Let me think... We did diet coke and mentos with Trenton. That was really fun. Then we did it again the other day. It's always fun doing stuff like that.
Tuesday not too much happened. PEC was cancelled, so we just went to go visit members.
Wednesday was King's last District meeting. It went well, I think. Apparently, if you go to Waterwheelers.blogspot.com there's a picture of me giving a spiritual thought or something. I won't ruin the surprise, so go check it out!
Thursday, I can't really remember much of what happened unfortunately... Just know that it was a slow day.
Friday we saw Marie like usual. We also played ping-pong with Barry and lost, like usual, but it was fun.
Saturday, we went over to Goerge's and made him dinner. Grilled cheese. Apparently he loves it, so I made some for him.
Sunday, we had a lot of people at church. About 45. Crazy, huh? I didn't see that coming. Then we went and saw a few more members so King could say goodbye. Then we finished the night with George and I beating Barry and King at Euchre. Again. Like usual. Because we rock. Just saying.
Monday, we did the diet cokes and mentos thing again, and stayed the night in Trenton.
Tuesday it was transfer day and Tripp and I officially got together!!!!!!! Yes!!!
Well, that's all I've got!
Peace,
Stubbs

Happy Valentine's Day

Hey people, what's up?
So not too much has been going on here in Napanee... Actually, barely anything has happened here in the past week. Lame, I know. We've tried visiting people, talking to people, knocking on doors, and nothing really came of it and nothing exciting happened. It's weird, because for the past week and a half, nobody has been home went we went to go visit people. It's sort of driving us nuts. Oh well, that's life I suppose.
I'll try to think of anything interesting that happened... Wednsday we went on travels, and Elder Kwok and I stayed in Napanee. Kwok is from Hong Kong and he's a pretty neat guy. Quiet, but he's pretty neat. Anyways, the travel went well.
What else? Not too much actually. We went and saw some members and had a fire with them. Then they started throwing cans of beans and vegetables into the fire so they explode. One guy was an idiot and was trying to find the can. It blew up and the lid nailed him in the butt. He was okay, but he was covered in beans. I don't think he'll learn from that experience though. Oh well, it was fun.
Anyways, not too much has been happening here. Nothing to report on investigators or such, so I'll let you go!

My Mom Has Forgotten To Post My Blogs :(

Hey people, what's up?
So not too much has gone on this past week. Actually, a lot less went on seeing as nearly. Every. Flippin. Appointment. Cancelled. Not that I'm bitter or letting it get to me. Just letting you know.
So besides that happening, what interesting things did go down this week? Thursday we went to Brampton for another doctor's appointment. Nothing eventful there.
Last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we fed Barry's cats while he and his wife were out of town.
Monday nothing too exciting. Basketball.
Tuesday, nothing exciting there either.
Wednesday was district meeting. Then we got food. I can't remember where we ate though. Oh well. Then most of our appointments that day cancelled.
Thursday we went to Brampton. The we saw Bob and Sis. Coulas. Victoria went to a shelter in Kingston to get away from her Mom, and Bob was going to see her the next day. She wanted him to pick her up cigarettes, but I told Bob no since she is pregnant. The next 45 minutes or so consisted of me convincing Bob not to get her cigs and instead, to help her quit. I stole his mouse as incentive, since he can't use some of his programs without it. I returned it we he didn't buy her any. We have a lot of work here for us.
Friday, every appointment except Marie and George cancelled. And Saturday was the same thing. Full day, then everyone cancels or just doesn't show up. Fun.
Sunday we went to church, then a old folks home (the one where sick people go to die). Then we went to the hospital to see a member and we had to wear aprons and gloves. I hate hospitals, and that didn't help any. Then the rest of the night we just visited members, and got updates from others about the Superbowl. Elder King wanted the Giants to win, so naturally, I went with the Patriots. All I know is that the Giants won, so I can't taunt him with that. Oh well.
Anyways, that's all I have. Have a great week!

I Get To Stay On My Mission A Little While Longer

Hey people, how's it going?
So this week has been like any other. Not too much has been going on here, like usual.
So what has happened this week that doesn't usually happen? Well, Friday we had interviews with President Scott. I'm not being sent home (as far as I know), so that's good. People still get a few months break from me before I return.
What else happened? President Scott came to church on Sunday, and guess who the speakers were? King and I. I had to speak on sharing the Gospel with our friends. Clearly I am the worst for that topic because I have no friends, but oh well. I think I did well.
What else? Monday we didn't do much. Not a lot going on around here. Tuesday we saw some people (members and non-members alike) and then had meetings. Wednesday we saw some more members and played cards with George. Thursday I can't remember too much. Just saw more members. Nothing exciting there. Friday was interviews and we also read George the paper. Saturday we went to Dairy Queen because everything was half off. I, being the idiot I am, forgot to get an ice cream cake. Then that night the Elders quorum had a ping-pong and chess night. It was fun, and Bob, one the guys we are teaching, came and I think he enjoyed it. Then Sunday came and we went to Church and visited more people.
Anyways, that's my week. Nothing noteworthy, so I'll let you go. Have a great week!

Everything's Going Slow, But Well

Hey people, how’s it going?

So how’s life treating everyone? I hope things are going well. Things have been going well here in Napanee. Slow, but well.

So not too much has been going on. The highlight of the week was when I got to go to Trenton for the day with Elder Anderson. We went around visiting people, and a member couple took us out to eat. Then we went to Branch Counsel, which took so much longer than it needed. Then we had sports night there. Unfortunately, because of the meeting, we missed basketball but got to play soccer. It was fun, but not as fun as basketball. The next day, we went and saw a friend named Gus that they have there. He’s an awesome guy who’s Roman Catholic and gives the missionaries tons of food every time they see him. Their cupboards are filled with food there. I wish we had a Gus.

What else interesting happened this week? Not too much. We’ve been keeping busy lately, visiting a lot of in-active people, active people, and everyone in between. All have been really nice.

Sunday we had a lot of people to church. About 25 (hey, for this branch, that’s a lot).

Other than that, there’s not too much to tell. Have a good one!
