Just The Facts Ma'am

Hey people, how's it going?
So things are going well here in Napanee. Just the same old, same old.
So this week nothing really exciting happened. We had P-Day. Then on Tuesday we had Zone Conference in Ajax. We had to take the Brockville Elders and head to Oshawa to spend the night there, which was okay. Everyone went to bed at 10:30, but I couldn't get to sleep because of my insomnia, but hey, life a snitch like that, isn't it? At Zone Conference they told us about the 'Big Brother' boxes installed in our cars and how they watch our every move. Part way through, they had a quiz, and anyone who answered a question got a chocolate bar. As soon as I found that out, I answered a question. Then after that portion, the guys from Salt Lake started talking more about it, and then one of them asked a questioned, which I raised my hand for (I think the question was rhetorical, but who cares). He picked me (I was the only one with my hand raised), and I answered. Then he was about to continue, and I asked if I got a chocolate bar for answering the question. I got it. Score. Later he came up to me and asked if I got two chocolate bars. I said yes, and that one was uneaten if he wanted it back. He said he didn't care, he just found it funny how I got it. Double score. So all in all, Zone Conference wasn't too bad. We also got to see a lot of our friends there and have fun. The only thing though was that I couldn't fall asleep for the life of me without arousing suspicion, so that kind of sucked.
When we had PEC later than night back in Napanee, we got onto the conversation of undercover cops. I then said that they were cheating when they didn't have anything marking their car as a cop car. Even if they had dark blue lettering on a black background, that's cool, but it's not like we're dealing with the CIA here. I said that was cheating, (just having some fun), and the 2nd counselor got mad at me and went on one of his rants. Again. He and his wife don't like me too much. The Branch President raised his eyebrows, then had to keep himself from laughing at it. I ignored the dude, said it's still cheating, then finished our report and headed out. Boo-yah.
Wednesday was the usual, except we didn't have district meeting, so we just did our stuff, such as beating Tripp and Barry at Euchre.
Thursday we went to visit people, like usual. I've gotten some complaints about my blog being too quick or boring, so I'll try spicing it up. I'll talk about trying to visit Bob and Victoria. See which form you like best.
Mystery: We pulled up to the the house, only it wasn't a house. It was four apartments inside a old run down house. A way to make money. A way to keep people bunched up together. Like livestock in a pen. I didn't like what I saw, and what I saw, I didn't like. We got out of the car. Tripp took a few extra seconds to get out. I was concerned. Did he have second doubts? I hoped not. We only had one chance, and tonight was it. Walking up the front steps, I saw a man in the doorway. He was smoking it up, like a fish on a bicycle. He had shifty eyes. I didn't like him. Not one bit. Then a car pulled up. His ride. I could tell by the way the guy honked. The doorway man flicked his cig onto the ground, crushed the dying flame with his foot and walked to the car. As he was getting in, he gave us one last look before closing the door. I was going to do something about it, but then I realized that to get inside the building, I had to go through three different sets of doors. What was so important that they kept it behind so many doors. I didn't know, but I was going to find out. As we walked in, there stood a dame. You could tell by the way she held herself, like she thought she was better than the male race in that tight skirt of hers, and that low cut top. My partner said hi, just to be polite. I don't know why, but I knew that she was trouble, so I kept walking. Not my business. I had bigger fish to fry. As I looked back, I saw my partner following me. Good, he didn't take the bait. We need more men like that. Men who think with their brains, not with their hormones. He's a good man. I'd hate to lose him.
Medeval: And the squire Tripp said, 'foresooth! There are three flights of stairs, and three flights of stairs there are' they the brave knight and his peasant boy did venture forth. Up the unforgiving steps, the knight and his boy did fly, in hopes of getting to the evil wizard's lair on top. Upon reaching the top, the knight Stubbs did proclaim victory in the climb, and there was much rejoicing. Setting came, our brave young heroes devised their plan of attack. They hoped it would take less than a hour. Brittle Barry, or as commonly known throughtout the kingdom as the 'Old Mouth', require their skills in conquering the new age box that he called a 'com-pu-ter'. If anyone knew how to do it, it was them. Before them was the gate to the lair. The heores had been told than they would have to knock and ask to seek an audience with the evil wizard Bobert. And thus the squire did knock three times, and three times did thee knock, until they heard the foot falls of the wizard's mistress. 'Foresooth!' she proclaimed 'The wizard is not here! Alas, you have come too late! He foresaw thou coming, and has fled to his cousins's castle, in yonder town!' The knight cried 'Verily, I say, dammit! We art too late squire!' And the squire wept. 'But fear not!' stated the mistress, 'He shall be here before the Sun's day. I shall tempt him and keep him here, so thou can destroy the evil spirit within, and save the man I love, and the father of my unborn child!' And there was much rejoicing.
So that was our Thursday. We also helped Barry with his computer and showed him how to do things. And it was slowing down a lot, so I fixed that too. Not too much happened besides that. Also, I'm running out of time, so I'll make the rest quick.
Friday nothing exciting. We saw Marie and read George the paper.
Saturday nothing. We had dinner with a member family and played Jumanji with them. It twas fun.
Sunday we had church, like usual, but this time I had a killer headache. A member gave me some medicine, so it stopped it from progressing to a migraine, which I could feel coming on. We went and brightened a few more peoples lives, and then tried stopping by Bob's. I won't go into much detail, but he was dropped, so the evil Wizard Bobert still lives. Blame the squire. Also, George and I won at Euchre, again.
Well, there's my week. Hope you enjoyed yours!

Not Much But The Usual

Hey people, how's it going?
So this week has been the same as usual. Big surprise. I'll try and let you know if anything interesting has happened.
Monday nothing too exciting besides the usual. Went to Belleville, played basketball, etc.
Tuesday we saw Murv again. Then Tripp and I got into a debate afterwards whether it's 'Murv' or 'Merv'. I personally think Murv looks cooler. Then we had PEC and the played some Ping-Pong with Barry.
Wednesday we had district meeting. I remember back before the missions combined that we a district meeting once every two or so weeks. I'm not complaing because I like our district, but sometimes it can kill us because of the amount of kilometers we're allowed to drive per month. Anyway, after that, we saw some members and others. Then we helped George clean his yard and, when we were finished, we played cards.
Thursday, nothing much went down. Visited a few people, and talked to more.
Friday was the same as Thursday, though I think that was the day that Duke lost in the NCAA tournament. I didn't make a draft, but Tripp did, and he had Duke winning the whole thing. I've been bugging him about that ever since. Also, BYU choked. I told Tripp that would happen. He believed me, but he didn't want to. BYU always chokes. We also had dinner at the church because it was the Relief Society's anniversary dinner. We got to eat at a table in the hall, while they ate in a different room. Mainly we got invited because we helped set up, and because people like to take pity on us or something. It's like we're the branch's pets.
Saturday we helped out catering some couple's 50th anniversary. Ouch, can you image the horror and pain of being married to someone for that long? Jeez. Also, I am just kidding (I have to go through this last part for liability reasons and because my mom might see. She can be a scary woman.) We also played cards again with George that day and visited a few members.
Sunday we had church (big surprise). We also visited some more members. Then we got two new investigators, John and Linda. They are a nice couple with a 1 year old daughter. She's really cute. It's actually funny, because John is a cousin to my friend Greg that I had back in school. Funny how these things work out, huh?
Welp, that's it for this week. Have a great one!

When We're Helping We're Happy!

Hey people, what's up?
So like usual, nothing happened here in Napanee this week. Surprising, huh? I'll try my best to think of anything interesting.
Monday you already know what happened. Got hit in the face during basketball and cut open my lip.
Tuesday it was the usual routine. Visit Murv, go to PEC, visit the clubs... you know, the usual.
Wednesday, I went to Trenton with Elder Anderson after District meeting. It was fun. WE got to play ping-pong with some members, then volleyball and basketball.
Thursday Tripp and I helped out at this lunchion for the Lion's Club. We just prepared the dishes and such. We also went and visited some members that day.
Friday, nothing too exciting happened, but in the evening, we helped out with this Celtic night thing. We served the food, and then go to do two hours of dishes. I'm surprised so many people showed, especially since we were told it was $40 a plate. That an expensive chicken.
Saturday nothing out of the ordinary happened.
Sunday, many people were late to church because of the time change. Then we saw some members. Also, it warmed up to 14 degrees, so it was quite nice out. It's suppose to be like that for the week. Yes!
So that's our week. It's been quiet, but good. Hope everyone else is doing well!
Stubbs
PS George and I are still kicking butt at cards.

Fabio Anyone?

Hey people. What's up?

So here's the run down on our week. I'll be brief since our time is short.
Monday we went to Kingston for no reason, just to look around and to get out of Napanee.
Tuesday not too much happened. Visited people, had PEC yada, yada, yada.
Wednesday we had district meeting, then Tripp and I went to visit more members and non members, and then ended the night playing cards with George.
Thursday we went to Etobicoke for a doctor's appointment. My last one there. Guess I'm considered mentally sane now... Ya right.
Friday we saw Marie, visited some more members, talked to people, then went to sleep.
Saturday we went to visit more members again, and we played some basketball in the morning. Then we stole a member's phone and put our picture for our contact, and put Fabio as his wallpaper. His wife liked it. Here is the picture for your viewing pleasure:http://www.comicbookreligion.com/img/f/a/Fabio.jpg
Sunday we had church. And we saw George.
Monday we had to go to Kingston early to do some stuff with the zone, and I got hit in the face, so now I have a big cut on my lip, my front teeth hurt, and my nose kills when it is touched. Just another day in the life of Carson Stubbs.
Peace!
