Men Don't Need Directions!

Hey people, how's it going?
So this week has been like any other. Mainly uneventful.
Since I don't have much time this week, I'll be brief. The most exciting thing we did was drive to Brantford. Unfortuantely, my GPS wasn't helping out any, so we got lost a few times and hit traffic at 11 and at 2. Who's heard of traffic at those times? Anyways, it was cool because we took a detour down Young Street, then we saw the CN tower, Rogers stadium and the Air Canada Center. So all in all, it wasn't a bad day. Dr. Opper also gave me a cactus! Score.
Other than that, not too much exciting or note worthy has gone on. So I'll let you go for now.
Peace,
Stubbs

Happy Easter!

Hey people, how's it going?
So life out here is the same. Not surprising, huh?
So what has happened this week that's exciting? Tuesday we played baseball with some members and non members alike, which was fun. Then we saw Murv, like usual. I don't know if I've mentioned it, but Tripp and I were debating on how to spell Murv's name. I said it was with an ur, and he said an er. So we asked around, but no one knew. Then we asked Murv, and he said ur. I win. We also had PEC that night. Nothing exciting, but then again, not much around here is.
Wednesday we went to District Meeting to meet some of the new missionaries. The new Sister has no sense of humor, and in the two district meetings we've had so far (one yesterday), I have yet to see her smile. Oh well. Then our new district leader is the cookie cutter image of super missionary. He doesn't even have district lunches after meetings. Just wants to go out and work. That's fine and dandy for him, but the rest of us like our lunches afterwards. Oh well. Then we had our usual Wednesday line up.
Thursday, nothing happened there. I can't even really remember it. Let me think... Nope, nothing.
Friday we saw Marie. She's doing well, but still won't come out to church. Then we got roped into a walkathon. Tripp went ahead and got lost, but I completed the 10 kms. Then Barry and I let Tripp know how directionally challenged he was. We explained the path to him at least five times. It makes for a good story though.
Saturday, we went out to Tamworth to visit some members and have an Easter dinner with them. It was pretty good until this one kid (names will not be mentioned) claimed Shia LaBeouf is lame, and that Marvel is worst than DC. Well, I just ripped into him there and then. Tripp wanted to tear into him as well, but held back. Until that kid serves a mission (he's 21), he has no street cred, and therefore is a fool. Hopefully he will learn. After that, we went back to visit a member family in Newburgh and got them to promise to come to church finally. Boo-yah.
Sunday we had over 50 people at church, including John our investigator. I think he enjoyed it, as did most people. Then about half of the people left after Sacrament. Hey, at least they came, right? After church, we had Dinner with another member family. It was fun. Played some football, talked, etc. Then we went and played cards with George.
Monday we had district meeting (Our DL moved them to Tuesday (which we hate), but because of Easter Monday we had it then). Monday nothing new really happened. Visited some people and so forth. We got to meet our new Zone Lord, Elder Goodman. He's from Gilbert Arizona, and he knows some of my relatives there. Small world.
Well, that's all I've really got for this week. Hopefully you all have a good one!
Peace!

Six More Weeks People!

Hey people, what's up?
So nothing new going except that this is transfer 17! My last transfer. It's crazy to think about how quickly it's gone, but how long it's taken. Crazy huh? And to top it off, guess who my companion is?... Trippy! Awesome! Looks like we're finishing our missions together! Boo-yah.
So this past week has been uneventful, like usual. I say that a lot here, don't I?
Monday nothing new and exciting.
Tuesday we met with Murv like usual, and did the usual stuff, except PEC was cancelled that night.
Wednesday district meeting was moved to Thursday, so we just went out and talked to people. Then we did our usual rounds and visited the people we usually do on Wednesday. George and I won at cards again, like usual. We really need some competition.
Thursday we had district meeting, then Elder Anderson came here to Napanee with me. We first stopped in Trent Hills (that's where the meeting was) and I showed him Carrie Underwood's house, we got pictures with the giant Toonie, and Anderson bought 5 pounds of caramel filled chocolate for 5 bucks. It was a fun time, but its always a fun time with Stubbs.
Friday we switched back after meeting with Marie. We had dinner at a members house and we read George the newspaper.
Saturday... It was General Conference. I almost forgot about that. Oops. My last Conference on the mission. It was pretty good. The only thing is for most of the sessions, there was only one or two people there besides us. Priesthood session about 4 or 5 men came.
Sunday morning session a good amount of people showed up. We were a little shocked. Then in the afternoon, only one person. I'm surprised that anyone came to that. Anyways, after that was all done, we played cards with George. This time it was only George and us, so we played Crib. I won. Twice. No big deal. After that, we went home and didn't get a transfer call.
So that's basically it. We're staying, while everyone else in the zone is changing, so we'll see how that goes. Sadly, Anderson is leaving. Anyways, have a great week!
Stubbs
PS Lots of talk about mercy and stuff this conference. What do you think?
