Hey, what's up?
So far no Justin Bieber... I know. Sad, isn't it? I will find him soon though. I wore my "To Bieber or Not to Bieber" shirt yesterday at basketball with the zone. Most of the missionaries told me to take it off. Either they were jealous of my shirt or they wanted to see my stunning six-pack. I'll leave that one up to you to decide. Trippy loved my shirt though, so that was good. I probably get to spend this Friday with the guy! Party!
So what has happened during the week? A lot of walking. We logged in over thirty hours of walking and talking to people, yet no one wanted to listen, except for one Jehovah Witness. She was nice but she wasn't super interested. We haven't really run into any interesting characters here either. I was hoping we'd run into some crazy Shakespeare fanatic or some dude who thinks he's Hamlet. Elder Merrill can be Laertes if that happens.
We've also had a lot of cancelled dinner appointments too... Sad, huh? But many of the members here are great. Sister Snell is a really fun lady and I was able to give her some zombie advice on Sunday, just to help her prepare for the zombie apocalypse. She thought you killed zombies by stabbing them in the heart with a stake! The fool! That's a vampire. She would become part of the living undead if she tried that on a zombie. These are the kind of things we should be teaching children in school! It could be in either a Survival Ed class, or Biology. Get rid of the art classes (painting). When the world is overrun by zombies, nobody will be worried about the Mona Lisa.
Anything else newsworthy or entertaining? Not particularly. It's been raining a lot here and it's been kind of dreary, but other than that, life has been pretty good. Tracting isn't too horrible and we did get sunshine once last week. Hopefully this week will be sunnier or at least a lot less windy. Oh and I also learned that Phoenix Suns didn't make it too the play-offs this year! Ridiculous! It'll probably be an Eastern team win this year. Probably Boston or Chicago. Miami, eh.
Anyways, that's all I've got for now. I hope everyone had a awesome Easter (I got a freakin' awesome Batman bucket filled with chocolate!).

New City, New Companion, Good Ward
So here I am in Bieber town, yet no Bieber yet... Maybe next week.
So this week has been pretty cold and wet. Well, for the second half, at least. On Tuesday we got here and we got to meet the branch president, President Olsen and the Kimballs, the senior missionary couple. They are good people and I think I'll enjoy working with them.
Wednesday went went roofing all day. We got to pull shingles off a roof and then week got to put new ones back on the again. That was actually quite entertaining, and it took the whole day up. I am pleased to say I almost fell just once.
Thursday was a day of walking around and tracting, so not much happened there. Not even any interesting characters to make the day a bit more interesting. Sad.
Friday... Friday the rain started and it was pretty miserable, but hey, that's life. We did walking and phone calling, but nothing showed up. Maybe next week.
Saturday the rains continued. We had breakfast with a part-member family which was nice. They are good people and I like them. Then we went to the hospital to visit some members there, since one had to go in for surgery. He's doing well, so that's good.
Sunday we got to meet the ward. I like them. One member is actually from Coaldale, so he knows where Medicine Hat is. He's actually the one we helped shingle on Wednesday. And the chapel here is the smallest chapel you'll ever see. Oh, and it started snowing like mad.
Monday (today!) we went shopping and I got this ridiculously awesome shirt that says (in old english font) "To Bieber, or not to Bieber?" AWESOME! I can sense your jealousy. Still snowing.
So that's basically what's what here. Oh, I forgot to mention... ELDER TRIPP IS IN MY DISTRICT AGAIN!!!!!!!!! WOOOOO!!!!!! I am quite excited for that. Travels are coming soon!
Anyways, that's it for this week. Hope you all enjoy yours, and I'll keep an eye out for Justin!
Peace!

Stratford: Here I Come!
So transfer calls were last night....
LaSalle (where I serve) is being closed. Elder Silva is headed to London, Elder Wright to Woodstock and I am going to the home town of Justin Beiber, Stratford. I'm opening that area and Elder Wright will still be my district leader. I'm going to be sad to see this place go with all of the people and the nice penthouse. Oh, and now I'm the senior companion.
This past week has been pretty good. Jenny finally got confirmed and she enjoyed that, I think. We also did a lot of travels and such, so we thought we were screwed on kilometer allotment, but since all of us are leaving, we don't have to worry about that anymore! Yay! The Zone Leaders get our car now.
Not much has really happened though while talking to people here. It's been quite humid here lately. Not fun. I miss my dry heat of Alberta. Humidity is not my friend.
Well, that's all I have to say. I've got to pack today, and we have a lot of people to say goodbye to.
Peace!

Southern Tip and Hebrew Zombies?
Hey everyone, how's tricks?
So this week has been very busy. Monday we went to Leamington to deliver a bed to the missionaries because a member is staying with them for awhile to learn a bit about the mission. Interesting, huh? While there, we went to some park and I got to stand on the most southern part of Canada. It was pretty warm there, but once you started walking away from it, it started cooling down. God can be cruel like that.
Tuesday was filled with lots of walking and a lot of bombed appointments. AND SOME RANDOM DUDE JUST PUSHED ME WHILE I TRIED SAYING HELLO! I WAS SO PEEVED! DO NOT PUSH ME OR SHOO ME AWAY!
Wednesday we had travels. Elder Silva and I went with Elder Christensen and we did a lot of knocking. It was quite boring until we knocked on one house where this dude came out and said "You're here for the Hebrew Zombie, aren't you?" I immediately knew he was talking about Christ, but Silva was totally lost. I was able to use my expertise zombie knowledge to tell him the difference between a undead being like a zombie and a resurrected being like Christ. After he recovered from his stunned silence of my great knowledge, he said "I don't like Zombies, and I don't like Hebrews more. It's dangerous stuff. Be careful." Then he closed the door. The best part? He was completely serious. I worry about the world sometimes. This guy will definitely NOT survive the Zombie Apocalypse.
Thursday was weekly planning and nothing else happened.
Friday we had district meeting. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. After I woke up, we went out to this all you can eat Japanese place which was really nice and really good. Then we had more bombed appointments.
Saturday was General Conference. We got this one guy we are going to be teaching soon, to come out. He barely speaks any English (he's Spanish) but he enjoyed it, as did Jennie (she's still not confirmed).
Sunday was more General Conference and that's basically it.
So that's my week. We've been pretty busy and it's been raining the past few days (sob).
Anyways, hope you all had a great week!

A Baptism! Another Companion Makes a Trio
Hey everyone, so how's it going this week?
So, some bigger things happened this week. First, Jenny got baptized yesterday. She really seemed to enjoy it, so that was good. Elder Wright got to baptize her, but now we need to figure out when to confirm her. We were getting some flak from some people for not confirming her there, so we are going to try and figure it out.
So we have a new companion too. Notice I said we and not me? Elder Wright and I are now in a trio with Elder Silva, a missionary from Brazil. This is his third transfer in the mission. He's a really cool guy and knows movies and music and such, so I can to talk to him about all that good stuff. Except for Princess Bride. He and Wright have never heard of it. Not too surprising for Wright, but I was a little disappointed in Silva. :P
What else happened this week? I really wanted to break this dude's hand because he started freaking out when we talked to him and started shooing us away. I hate it when people shoo me. Just tell me no or 'not interested', but shooing makes me want to hurt you.
I went on travels with E. Laceste a few days ago and then with E. Lee. Laceste is from the Phillipines (lives in British Columbia though), but for some reason, Elder Wright thought he was Spanish. Don't ask. E. Lee is originally from Korea, but his family now lives in Alberta. Respect for the Albertan dweller.
Anything else? Not too much. No new investigators this week. Lots of walking around and hopefully Kirk will get baptized soon. It's been warming up, so that's good, but not much else too say.
Anyways, that's it for this week. Peace!
